FAQ

You have questions?
We have answers.

Here are some of our most frequently asked questions.

In case this doesn't have what you're looking for, please don't hesitate to get in touch: hi@supersimple.io.

Who is Supersimple for?

Supersimple was designed specifically for the needs of fast-growing B2B SaaS companies, and the product & commercial organizations within.

How does Supersimple connect to my data?

Supersimple connects to your existing relational SQL-based databases or data warehouse, and we do not store your data.

Every time you ask a question – either through clicking or through natural language – we send a request to your database.

What kind of data does this work for?

While Supersimple was built around the needs of B2B SaaS companies, it can handle any kind of data that a SQL database might include. If you can query it via SQL, then it'll be usable on Supersimple.

Is this for technical or non-technical users?

The short answer is "both".

Non-technical people use Supersimple to get true self-service data access, and to answer data questions that they would have otherwise needed to ask a technical teammate about.

Technical people like data teams and engineers use Supersimple to both empower the rest of their company to accurately access data self-serve, while also being the quickest tool for them to get themselves answers in most cases.

While most anything on Supersimple can be done using our no-code data exploration steps, more technical users also have access to powerful raw SQL blocks, whose results can be followed up on using our no-code data exploration and visualization UI.

What exactly is the Semantic Layer and how does it work?

Our Semantic Layer is part of the technology that makes it possible for non-technical people to answer highly specific, complex questions on our platform.

The Semantic Layer is what holds all of your data definitions – who's a paying customer, how do we define signup cohorts, what your KPIs are etc.

All of these definitions are held in source control as YAML files, meaning your (data) engineering team has full control and audit-ability over all changes.

How do I know my data is safe with Supersimple?

Data security is an extremely high priority for us, given the nature of the data we are trusted with.

On request, we are more than happy to share a detailed overview of the technical and organizational measures we have in place for ensuring data security.

How does pricing work?

Because we support teams at all kinds of different stages, we tailor our pricing packages to the specific needs of each customer.

Our base plans are based on the included functionality and the number of active users your team has on our platform each month. This means we don't charge for unused seats!

An active user is anyone on your team that, in a given month, logs into Supersimple to look at your data.

Additionally, we offer discounted rates for startups, based on the amount of funding received.

Where are your servers located?

By default, Supersimple runs on servers located in Europe. On request, other geographies are available. Unless you explicitly opted into caching, Supersimple never stores your data – in any country.
